The best and most authentic Russian store I've found in BC. I'm Russian and have been looking for such a place for a long time. It has the best, most well-priced Russian book selection I've found, too! Inna was very nice and helpful in picking out books for me and my friend who is learning Russian. Спасибо! ️

Nice people but watch items for quality
My husband and I had to come here when we vacationed in Vancouver, for my love of Matryoska Dolls. The lady who was working was very helpful and let me look at all the dolls, and I ended up picking one out. As we were about to checkout and pay I was still looking around and she decided to offer me a different one. She said the set was the same as the one I had picked but it was bigger. Not thinking about I said yes and she took it to the counter. She was adamant about wrapping it in bubble wrap and I said no thank you. She wrapped it in two bags anyways. We walked to the car and as we were about to leave I took it out of the bag go admire it and noticed a large crack in the doll. I instantly went back into the store and told her, and she denied that it was cracked. She even asked me if I dropped it. I told her I wanted the other one that I had originally picked out and she was very hesitant to give me that one, but she did. I would have easily given this store a five star review, but felt like she intentionally tried to sell me a broken doll that she wouldn't normally be able to sell. I felt very tricked and ripped off. I still love my doll, but will be hesitant to bring my business there again.
Very nice place. Good selection of soviet posters and russian themed gifts.
