I LOVE this place. Both the Alma location and the Commercial location. The staff are so incredibly friendly and helpful. It's always so fun going into either location. Also, I started taking lessons with Tristan a few months ago and....BEST TEACHER EVER. As excited as I was to learn, I also had a lot of anxiety about learning drums. Tristan makes it fun and takes all the pressure out of the situation. So great. 5 stars isn't enough!!!

Always a great experience at Rufus. I've had my 67 ES-125 TDC restored to perfection there, bought drum gear, and my partner recently consigned their lefty Larrivee 6-string and got a great price - enough to buy a lefty Taylor e-bass. There's something about supporting an independent shop and the care with the way they select the gear they sell and support - it's a feel-good thing. Make it your first and your last stop for gear.

Blaine and Jack (I hope I got his name right!) where incredibly helpful and patient in answering my many questions. I'm new to playing electric guitar and needed a new amp. As I have very little knowledge of the different options available, I braced myself for an intimidating shopping experience. This place exceeded my expectations and I left with a fantastic Marshall amp and a smile on my face. I will most certainly spend more money here.

I have to say that dealing with Rufus was the best experience I've had with a music shop for guitar repair. The luthier called to discuss the work on my instrument and gave me a few options for the fixes I was looking to have done. I appreciated the time she took to explain several different options for the fixes I was looking for within my budget. I felt very well informed making the electronic decisions for my LP. No more annoying hum and set up exactly how I like. Highly recommend this shop. Thanks guys!

Best music store in town! Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Selection is great and new inventory comes in regularly. Allan in the drum room has been in the business for a long time and he's super helpful. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a music store (particularly drummers).
