clean facility, big pool, nice hottub and sauna. ok little weight room, nice staff. negatives are, the changing rooms are so hot you get sweaty again while dressing, you can't workout then swim? not much of a deal on membership and paying everyime hurts abit, but its worth it a few times a month in winter for mind and body.

Wonderful range of cardio, aqua fit and arthritis class. Staff are very professional and despite being a dated facility it is kept remarkably clean. A must visit for any middle aged or senior recovering from surgery or preparing for surgery.

I grew up with this pool, but it did not age gracefully. It is now pretty run down and the gym is very very small. It hardly looks like any money is put into the upkeep anymore or put into modernization of the building, gym, lockers, sauna, etc. I would give more stars and a better review if the prices reflected the current state of the facility. But I've been to really nice gyms/pools in other cities and the prices for a membership at our pool are very harsh on an average Elliot Laker's pocket & the prices are comparable to new modern facilities.

I remember spending lots of hours in the winter swimming here and perfecting my belly flop off the high diving board. Lots of wonderful childhood memories here like playing in the kiddie pool for 10 minutes and then quickly jumping into the regular pool just to feel that initial cold shock. Another would be playing on the rope swing and seeing who could do the best trick. I never did lessons or join ELAC, but definitely wish I could have now.
