I went in to ask some questions about my rights as a citizen of Canada and to file a police report as being victim of an aggregation assault that happened 48 hours after it happened. Instead they became very angry at me and I said I don't want any trouble so I left. I went to the bus shelter to wait for the bus and arrested me at the bus stop

Was walking on the sidewalk above wreck beach after spending the afternoon on the beach, I was walking back to my truck when an rcmp officer pulled his vehicle onto the sidewalk and blocked me from walking any further. He then stated that he was investigating me for potentially breaking into the parked cars, as I was apparently looking into the vehicles as I was walking down the sidewalk. No other explanation other than I think you are looking into the vehicles as you are walking. I replied that I was walking back to my truck and being from Saskatchewan I was looking at the license plates of the parked vehicles to see where else people parked there where from. He when on to demand I give him my name and information even though I clearly explained that I was walking to my truck, I pointed to my truck about 10 vehicles away but he threatened to arrest me if I didn't give him my name. RCMP is out of control No respect for anyone's rights. Abuse of authority. Waste of taxpayer dollars

Does the RCMP on UBC do anything??? People drive 2-3 times the speed limit on campus and I have yet to see a single car get pulled over. The Wesbrook Mall area around Ross Drive is the worst.... Do your job.

I am both a citizen and an ethnic minority. I have had interaction with UBC RCMP as the victim of an assault, but they disregarded my request for help and justice and instead described the \mainstream\ attacker as espectful\ and trustworthy. I feel very much disappointed and disrespected by their institutional racism, and up to this day I still hold much frustration about the unresolvable injustice they permanently caused to me and my family. I am here to share my very negative review of UBC RCMP, so if you have experienced similar racism from them, you are not the only one.
