I'll have to admit, when I first heard of Ye Olde Jail I thought that this was going to be another one of those check out as soon as possible places; boy was I wrong. I first checked in May 12, 20014 and didn't check out til May 17, 2015. Pros: Great staff, they kept everyone in line and would not hesitate to Great Room, all the necessities: Bunk beds (need I say more!?), toilet, they even give you a roommate! All meals are served to you in room if you want (room service is free) and you never have to worry about fogetting your key card because all the doors are locked externally by the hotel staff. Cons: Toilet is right next to the bed, close enough to the bottom bunk that you are in the splash zone if you're near the edge. Beds are made of straw, but you get VERY used to it after a month (It turns into a pro after that as the rigidity is good for your back) Conclusion: would go again, but next time I'd recommend bringing a small shank to show dominance among the other patrons.
It's a great historical site in London a must see for all
Worst Hotel ever. The Beds were filled with straw, and no carpet. Plus the toilet was just a bucket in the corner! This is unsanitary. The only reason I didn't rate this at 1 star was they served 3 square meals a day, even if they were a bit bland.
It is a old jail sincec1890.
Not much to see, small single cell jail. Still worth a visit if you are going by.
