About an hour and a half West of Edmonton, Pembina has beautiful wide trails above the North Saskatchewan River. Both skate skiing and classic as well as snowshoeing trails. Biking in the summer too. Some good hills to tackle if you like that. Rustic chalet with a wood stove which will be warm if you are lucky and somebody else was there ahead of you to light it! You can even rent it. Check out their website.

This place is a hidden gem. The brand new chalet with brew/ski events in partnership with local breweries are a super good time!

Pristine trails, well groomed with a beautiful view of the river valley. There are good amounts of hills. Designated user areas for snowshoers. Quaint lodge, stock fire pit. Defibaytly worth the trip out.
