Greg Marshall

I trained at RFC for my private, commercial and instructor ratings over 15 years. Now I work there. No hesitation recommending it to people for flight training or as a flying club. Only downside for owners looking for a place to base their planes is a lack of hangars on the field, only tie downs.

Rented the 172S a while ago. Nice airplane, well maintained, but expensive. I was charged 0.3 of \ground brief\ despite receiving no ground brief. I was told that charging so was \standard procedure\. All my instructor did was wait in the pilot's lounge while I did the walk around, then hopped in when it was time to fly. Pedagogy 1/5 stars, but the staff were friendly and polite.

Love this airport. Near Ottawa, accessible without an airplane transponder. Great stuff. Fantastic location.

Don't waste your time. To be fair, I can't rate the quality of aircraft or the quality of instructors or people. I can only rate the quality of customer service. I have my private pilot license, and when I called to inquire about being checked out and renting, they told me they were full, and had a waiting list of over 180 people wanting to join. When I pointed out the non-member rates on their website, they dismissed them as \they must be old.\ Despite anything you read on their website, if you're not already a member, they're effectively closed. At least, that's the message you get if you contact them in person. Very disappointed. They should have front-loaded that information on their website.
