We had an incredible time at this restaurant. The food was fresh and delicious. There are vegetarian options to enjoy as well. This is a family run place so you get wonderful service. Marianne was so hospitable and answered our endless questions about the area with tips for places to enjoy. From the dining room you can enjoy the view of the lake and the golf course. After your meal you can walk right to the edge of the lake as well. Truly a great place to enjoy!

Hands down the best food and service anywhere! My wife, our 6 month old and I had an amazing lunch at this hidden gem. The view from their beautiful dining room comes second to the incredible flavors, authenticity, freshness and care that is put into every dish. The service is flawlessly executed with knowledge and hospitality regarding the food and surroundings. We enjoyed the Shrimp Po'Boy and the Schnitzel. Both cooked to perfection and excellent portions. Great Value for money! A must stop everytime we come to Goderich!
River Run is a very special place! Marianne and Marten have added all the right \ ingredients\ to present a warm, inviting and safe environment nestled in a valley overlooking the Maitland River with outstanding views of the golf course and the historic Menesetung Bridge which was one of the longest railway bridges in Canada. Marten lovingly prepares his menus, providing delicious daily homemade soups, each unique in their wonderful flavors and variety. The menu caters to all palattes including excellent schnitzel, butter chicken with curry, fish and chips, reubens, roscitto ,appetizers and salads. Lots to choose from for children as well....a decadent dessert is available for those who dare!..special dishes from the \ homeland\ are always fun to experience...Marianne is a special lady who makes your dining experience even more enjoyable.. her sense of humor and caring personality are much appreciated , especially in these times.....Marianne and Marten have worked diligently to provide an excellent and unique dining experience for all seasons..well done!
Just visited today with my family, a great family-run restaurant in the heart of Goderich. Server was very kind and ensured everyone was following COVID protocols (masks, sanitizing, social distancing). Very safe space to eat, with a great view of the Lake. Had the Fish and Chips, Butter Chicken dish, and Have A Nice Day Pasta. Presentation of food was perfect, and the fish and chips was the best item on their menu (perfectly crispy).
Love this hidden gem! Had the Mushroom Risotto (special) and schnitzel on a bun. The server was awesome and so was the food! Will definitely recommend to everyone and will be back for sure!
