We want to thank Phil Rintoul of Rintoul’s Pools and Spas and Darren Borland of Ontario Pool Coatings. We have a 16’x32’ rectangular, in-ground swimming pool with a finished depth of 6 1/2’ tapering up to 4’ at the shallow end. The pool structure is concrete with a surface coating of ecoFinish product consisting of an epoxy base then a tinted paint finish applied using blow-torch equipment. Phil installed this pool for us and brought in the ecoFinish senior certified installer in Canada (Canada Pool Coating) who supervised and took part in the application of the ecoFinish product. Flaws in the ecoFinish lining developed within the first year of our pool’s life and worsened. Despite our persistent correspondence with ecoFinish and their Canadian senior certified installer, they provided no support for their product even though it was under warranty. It was left to Phil Rintoul and Darren Borland to provide the needed repairs. They stepped up and put in the effort and hard work to ensure we were looked after by removing the existing pool coating and replacing it with a new Canadian made product. We are very grateful for the time and follow-through Phil and Darren gave us and we recommend them with confidence.

Thank you, staff, for arranging our pool closing date in such short notice. Scott and Kelly arrived right on time, if not a little earlier than expected, and went about closing up. They were pleasant, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. See you in the spring!
Horrible customer service. Installed inground pool approx 5 years ago, service was ok, beside concrete issue. Owner did deal with issue at the time. Continued to do pool openings and closings, purchased chemicals, recommend company to friends. Moved to new location and looking to get quote again for new pool. Phil was extremely rude and insulting. After being pretty loyal to his company, he does not value your business. Very disappointing... After reading other reviews it seems as though I'm not the only person who has been treated this way.
Owner was incredibly rude and dismissive . I suggest using the water depot just down the street. Superb customer service and less expensive materials.
I had a bad experience with this company but they resolved the issue by refunding my money. I appreciate that they did so.
