I bought my violin from this shop about 4 years ago and I had an excellent experience. What brought me in this week was a chin/shoulder rest problem. My violin wasn't sitting right and felt uncomfortable, and Quentin took the time to help me find a position that fit my shoulder and felt comfortable. With his help, I found a chin and shoulder rest that have greatly improved my level of comfort while playing. I didn't feel pressured to buy the more expensive options at any point and everyone in the store was very helpful and honest with me. I have lived in Quebec, British Columbia, and Ontario, and I've never had such a great experience as with Riedstra's.

Thank you for the taking the time with my purchase of a new Cello,. I appreciate the help you offered and didn't mind the hour and half drive to pick up my instrument. During the COVID lock down, the curb side pick up was fast and easy.

Riedstras is the best place around to buy stringed instruments. Quentin helped me with purchasing my cello, and he was very knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions. I felt I was in no way swayed to purchase the more expensive model, and I never even felt urged to make a purchase that day. They were very honest with their recommendations and answers, and you can tell they value customer service over sales. The prices at Reidstras are also very competitive. I noticed that some cellos such as the Eastman models are more affordable at Riedstra's than at chain stores. Plus, they do all the set-up work and consultation which you wouldn't receive at as much from a chain store. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Thank you!
