Protocols followed strictly & no crowds mean no lineups but also less access to some facilities. It was the best library in lower mainland for a reason & still is IMHO.

Brighouse Branch of the Richmond Library is a wonderful facility in Minoru Park, even though there are presently some restrictions on using the library due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Outside the library is a statue of a horse named Minoru. It was owned by King Edward VII of England. He named it after Minoru Eida, the youngest son of his masterJapanese gardener. This horse won The Epsom Derby, in England, in 1909. Minoru translates into \The Enlightened One.\ Minoru Park, in Richmond, was the former site of a thoroughbred race track.

This library is the best in Richmond imo. The downstairs part is quite noisy, because it's mostly for children with story time etc, but the second floor is a great place to study, read a book, as it's fairly quiet. Over the years they have had some technology upgrades in better computers, and 3D makers. I love what they've done to the library!

Very well organized. Plenty of space to keep social distance.
