Dr Yu is a very patient and great doctor. He explained to me in detail on how the meds work and what I need to do to properly recover from my chronic issue with my voice. The meds has been far more effective than any of the previous meds I was prescribed by other doctors. I also relate to him as he also worked on music in the past.

I've been coming here for more than 8 years. The staff is very helpful and the TCM physician, Hilda, is very kind and patient. With respect to the service issues that people seem to take issue with, you have to understand the cultural differences between Asian and more western commercial venues. In western shops, people are overly overly polite, courteous and fake to the point it makes you cringe. The 'service' from a more Asian shop like this is more curt and to the point. There are few pleasantries exchanged because that's the way it is. However, this is not to say all Asian shops are like this, but it is the prevailing experience most time. Now, I've never had problems with the staff. I know the staff more personally than the less frequent passerby; therefore, I can engage in dialogue easier and see how everyone's is doing. Tl;dr :at the end of the day, you're coming here for something in particular, either acupuncture, a herbal remedy, or some alternative treatment. The staff is knowledgeable and their product variety is pretty darn good. Temper your expectations on customer service and think about what it is you want to get from the store. IE when you're at a restaurant, you're there for their food, and not to get to know the staff and owners better. It can happen if you're a frequent patron, but it's not something you go in looking for from the get go.
