Nice spot to stop in for a picnic. Weekday visit was very peaceful but I can imagine that on weekends in the summer it could get crowded. There is a fee to launch boats and park you trailer.

fresh water . but the water is not clear. Very busy and impatient people may ruine the excitement. closes at 9 pm

A hidden gem, quite a surprise actually. Nice park, not as loud as you'd think, good place to walk a dog.
