As a single old man, I have attended Dance Art studio in Richmond Hill many times. Ballroom dancing is my passion, and this is one of the studios where I most enjoy dancing. At this studio you can request any dance (from waltz to west coast swing), and the instructor will put on music with the right rhythm and tempo; if necessary she will demonstrate the dance steps, with or without a partner. Here they mostly teach international style dancing, but they also know American style, which I find slightly easier. The studio is managed by Cristina Amalia Dina, assisted by a lady named Faya. I rank Dance Art as one of the three best dance studios in the area in or to the north of Toronto.

My wife and I went for a private Foxtrot lesson today and loved it. The studio was large with lots of mirrors to make it easy to see yourself. The instructor was patient, clear and organized. We covered the basic steps needed to get around the floor, including the feather step, three step, and natural and reverse weave. And she helped us work on our form, explaining everything in a way that was easy to understand and remember. We have lots of homework to work on but we'll definitely be back. I'd highly recommend it.
Dance art organized the 2018 new years eve party last year. It was the worst event I've ever been to. First, they crammed way too many people into the hall - good thing fire Marshall is not out inspecting. Second, they had absolutely no workable plan for the buffet dinner. They wanted people to go to pick up dinner in an organized table by table manner. Nope! There was a stampede to the buffet. They lost control. By the time I worked my way to the buffet half of the food was gone and what was left was cold. Third, at a later time when they put out the desert, the same thing happened. I stood in line for nearly 20 minutes and as I came near the desert table they announced an out of desert\. Constantly, throughout the evening, issue after issue, the MC kept announcing the mishaps of the evening and each time commenting \these things happen\. No, when events are organized well these things do not happen. Seriously, when I pay more than a hundred bucks for a dinner dance I certainly expect a decent dinner and to dance. Neither went well. They had packed so many people into this facility that there was literally no room to dance. I wrote this review now because I just received an email advertising the next new years eve party. Imagine, they raised the price by another20. I guess they were so successful in wrecking one new years eve party, they deserve more for wrecking the next.
I was recommended by a friend this place for level 1 salsa/ latin dancing. They didn't pick up the phone so I decided to email them with a time and date that worked for me. This is the response I got back initially. It not only is completely out of line and rude but also unprofessional. How do they expect to do business when they don't even know how to properly answers clients emails. 10/10 would not recommend to even begin a relationship.
