The Guys at Vancouver airport are great. I rent there a lot and they feel like family. I get a great vehicle at a great price, and I always feel they go above and beyond whenever they can. That is why Budget is my first choice

Anthony was great help at the desk. He explained everything thoroughly and was not pushy at all. I did however not enjoy my experience outside when i picked up my car. There were scratches here and there and a chip on the windshield. When i pointed these out to the lot attendant outside, she said any scratches that are under two inches doesnt count. I showed her a scratch on the sliding door which was about 8 inches long, she said its not a scratch and tried to scrap it off with her finger nails and turned to me and said it's coming off. It's still there. Then i showed her scratches on the rear bumper, her answer was \it's on the rear bumper do it's wear and tear\ and then she simply walked away. I then proceeded to further look at the car and found scratches on the hood and a chip on the windshield, but by then she has disappeared. I took pictures and video of the damage. Hopefully I won't get dinged on these damages.
After booking a SUV on-line, I arrived in Vancouver and was told they did not have that SUV. No problem says I, as long as the price stays the same. Assured that it would. Check back two days later and they plan to charge me extra because the SUV they gave was an upgrade. Then the job I am on gets cancelled. I phone to try to let them know I am bringing it back early. Never any answer when I phone. Bring it back and they assure me I will receive a refund. Week later, no refund. Phone - no answer. Phone Budget customer service, told no refund will be given. I have used Budget for over 25 years all over the world. I will never use them again.
I have a corporate account with a competing rental company but in Vancouver aitport I choose Budget because of the outstanding service and car selection. Jason, Anthony and all the others at this location always make sure that I am happy. Really outstanding.
30 min wait in line for reservation and you have to wait for the car which is not available. Cheaper price shows in poor service and long lines. Hertz, Thrifty and Dollar have no line, no wait. Will not use Budget in Vancouver Airport again.
