I am the owners daughter, but I get to participate in all of the youth leadership programs. Which is super fun! The horses here are great (especially Sugarfoot because he’s mine), they are loved by everyone and they love everyone. They love being around people, and love to cuddle. I watch Jessica (my mom) and Jacqueline spend a lot of time with the horses, even when clients aren’t at the barn. I get to volunteer at all of the programs, and I get to watch how much fun all the clients have during the programs and with the horse. During the programs the clients get to work face to face with the horses. We really learn a lot.

We did a \New Moon Manifesting\ meditation here. It was definitely a one of a kind experience. The horses are more or less free to roam around you and any other meditation members. They may come and stand near you or nuzzle you while you slip into a deep and calming experience Also Jessica and her team are super welcoming and very pleasant.
I took teen clients of mine from a rehabilitation hospital to the farm for an evening with the horses. We all had an incredible time, the staff member with us Jacqlyn was so kind, helpful and inclusive. She made sure all of my clients were enjoying themselves and participating. My clients also got to meet the goats which was one of their favourite parts (and mine). Thank you for such a wonderful trip, my clients, my student and I were smiling ear to ear the whole bus ride home :)
If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. After two (very) last minute cancellations on their part, I was no longer able to make it to their future sessions (as well as due to changes to my health). I have attempted to reach out to Jessica multiple times and she has not once bothered to give me a reply. She had, however, given my friend a reply so I know she has been reading emails. Their cancellations were due to weather. While I understand that these people cannot “control the weather”, they, amongst everyone else in this developed country, have the luxury of a weather app as well as the Internet, which tells them the impending forecast 24 hours prior (or more...but we know that’s not as accurate). They cancelled their sessions once an HOUR before start and their next one 35 minutes before start. We knew 24 hours prior on both days that there would be rain. Both times, I could have made other plans had I known earlier. I was also stuck in limbo on the second time, not knowing if I should make the 40 minute drive from downtown Toronto or not. They are now refusing to give a refund on services they have not provided and state that their policy indicates that they have a non-refundable policy on their purchases, which is completely against the Consumer Protections Ontario act. This whole experience has just been a nightmare and as much as I hate taking things to social media (I write way more good reviews than bad), I felt compelled to warn other customers to steer clear before they pursue any services with Restorative Reins. I will also be filing a complaint for this illegal refusal to refund a fee for service that was never provided to me.
Very disappointed. I booked my lessons in advance for almost two months. My lessons were booked as private at 7pm every Wednesday, but twice in a row it was double reservation. No one warned me about this beforehand. The first time I agreed to have a double lesson. The second time, again, no one bothered to send me an email to warn me. On my arrival I was offered a semi-private lesson with the coach that was not scheduled for me . It had been raining since early morning, but the horse for my lesson was outside without a blanket, she was completely wet and cold. I decided just groom the horse, put blanket on her and leave. At least I received a refund for this day, but my evening was ruined . Next day I received an apology by email. I canceled all my lessons with the company.
