I went there is fall. Beautiful beautiful place, loved the place. Everything was just great, cabins were clean, quite place and wonderful surrounding. Would highly recommend to all and especially who loves the nature. Planning to go again in summer. And owner Sandra was great and really welcoming. Going again to explore things i missed last time. Sorry Sandra, it took me so long to write the review, could have done that earlier. Lol, will c u again anyways.

Sandra is very nice and welcoming! Sandra managed to find a cute little cabin for us last minute for labour day weekend! She was gracious enough to upgrade us to a larger cabin after the labour day weekend madness left without us having to ask her. That was very thoughtful of her! The cabins are very clean and comfy and have a great view of the lake. I just wish we caught a fish but that could be our own doing lol

Great place for camping. Sandra is very helpful and good mood person! Our dog is sick and Sandra even offered and medicine for it. Thanks again!

We absolutely love coming here. It's so serene and beautiful. Fishing is great and the little sandy beach is so relaxing. Sandra (the owner) is very nice and fun to chat with. She keeps the grounds very clean and appreciates when guests respect her property as well. This is a place to really relax. Not crowded during the week but can busy on the weekends - not like the provincial parks. You can pretty much always find a camping spot here.

We spent two nights here for a paddle to the waterfalls. We had a great experience. The campground was quiet (mid August) so privacy was not an issue. The campsites are all in view of each other. There is 4 or five red log cabins, as the name describes, but the rest is campsites. The owners were helpful, and quirky making the place quite interesting! The wood for sale was dry and well priced. The showers are clean and very warm. There are outhouses among the campsites, very clean and well kept. The comfort station is small (one shower for each men/women) but clean. If you are looking for a campground in nature, in that area, I would recommend it! If you want a campground with all sorts of activities and services, or tree'd and privacy, maybe not for you.

Great spot for camping. Really relaxed with amenities like water and washrooms. There's also a set of showers. Bring your equipment and get away from the city for a while!

This is a great place to camp! Wonderful surroundings, great view at sunset, (PAY ATTENTION WHEN YOU ARE ENTERING THE PROPERTY THAT THERE IS A STOP SIGN BECAUSE YOU MUST RESPECT THE OWNERS (i.e. Sandra) AND TALK TO THEM AT THE ENTRANCE AT ALL TIMES), a great daily campsite rate (20.00 per adult, children 14 years old and younger FREE as we were afforded) that beats Algonquin Park's daily camping fees, great deals on canoe rentals, a great deal on firewood, the best fire-pits I have ever used, log cabins for rent that are more readily available then yurts within the big place nearby and very hospitable, helpful owners and management; we found this place to be a great alternative when we were out-of-luck over the Simcoe Day long weekend at Algonquin PP and my family could not have been happier with all that Red Deer Log Cabins has to offer! I highly recommend this place for camping, especially over a long weekend. For campers that would like to find a quieter alternative to camping at Algonquin during the low camping season April, May, late September-November, this will certainly be the place they are seeking!
