My girlfriend has donated blood multiple times now, staff have always been friendly and helpful. Good quiet environment to wait in. I will be donating blood when im fone with all my treatments in the future to give back for all I have received.

Great people serving humanity. However the numbering system at second counter is a chaos. Once you checked in and ready to donate, there is no mechanism. Nurses usually asks who's next and if you are shy or doesn't jump on right away, anyone else can go before you and you just lost 30 minutes. In my case, they could not find the vein so asked me to wait for left arm bed to open, but they switched 2 other donors from right hand bed to left hand bed and I lost about an hour on wait. My recommendation for CBS to put a proper mechanism at inside counter as well.
Today, Good Friday, I decided to donate for the first time as I am O neg and have never donated. Expecting to be met with enthusiasm, I was immediately uncomfortable. After completing my questionnaire, I was told to "read my pamphlet fast because we want to go home." After speed reading my consent, I jokingly told the nurse the staff was a little testy which only made the nurse more rude and more testy. Apparently, as a university student with a clear and recent blood screening, I exhibit risky behavior and would only be allowed to donate if I lied, which she was clearly open to if it meant getting her home earlier. My friend, who was also awaiting donation, and I ultimately chose to leave as we felt very judged and a massive inconvenience to their weekend plans. I first wondered why the office was completely empty on the day I chose to help others but I now know it is a result of a poorly mannered staff. Remember, this could be someone's last attempt to feel like they are a part of this world. Treat people offering their blood and time with respect, not disdain.

Very limited wait time and super friendly staff that will (literally) suck the life right out of you (in order to give it to someone else!) One of the fastest blood donations I've ever made.
They have good humored people there to help and it's been a pleasant experience.
