I hadn't skied in 30 years and when I decided to rent I went to Rapid Rent. I had excellent service and the ski set was perfect for me as a beginner. After a few times renting I decided to make a purchase and went to a few ski shops to see what was available and would be appropriate for me. Where else would I end up going but Outlaw Sports. Steve was fantastic. He got me set up with the perfect set of skis, boots, bindings and even matched my poles to my skis! (They were pretty funky!) The set up my bindings for me that same day so I could use them in Silver Star the following week. I cannot say enough. The staff was excellent and courteous. Steve, the owner, set me up perfectly. Same day service. These guys are amazing. And the price I could not beat anywhere else!!! Thank you Outlaw Sports for all the amazing visits I have had a your shop this year!!!
I have to say, I love this place. My boyfriend discovered it a few years ago when we went skiing, they have a great rental policy and great prices... it makes using these mountains we live so near much more affordable! Because this place exists, I've been able to try out things like skating and snowshoeing without putting in the money to straight up buy the gear. I bought a pair of skates there the other day and the owner (regrettably, I didn't get his name) was kind enough to take 15 minutes to sharpen them for me when I told him I was buying them to go skating that day - which I VERY much appreciated. I've found the staff there friendly and accommodating when I've been in, and it's a quick in and out to get and return rentals. It's a busy year for an outdoor equipment rental company, and I think Rapid Rent is doing a great job keeping up. I recommend it whenever I have the opportunity, and I'll do it now. Yes, go there. :-)
Knowledgeable staff. Be careful, they are fun to talk to, and before long you will have a new pair of skis. I always enjoy talking with staff and I always want to go skiing even more after talking to them. Good prices, good gear, and painless to rent from. I do and will continue to shop here.
