Q B office, Please post on website when you close early like today. Website said you're open, drove to town, you had closed at 1 pm. Thanks.

My criticism is over one specific receptionist that works here. I came to drop off a sample and was told by a woman if I am just dropping something off I can come inside and don't need to wait outside to be assisted. There was only one other person in the lobby room and I was keeping my social distance from them, and wearing a mask, yet the receptionist gave me a dirty look and said in a very rude voice, basically shouting, that I need to wait outside. I also noticed she was being quite grumpy and rude towards the one other person in lobby room that she was assisting at the time. I find it very off-putting that I was told I could come inside and then was yelled at to wait outside again.

This is not a criticism of the QB Lifelabs, rather of the communications between doctors and Lifelabs. Today, after standing in line for 90 minutes, I was informed at the desk that they had not received the request from my doctor from yesterday afternoon. Apparently, it can take 24 to 48 hours to reach Lifelabs, and the comment that “doctors don’t understand that”. So, has Lifelabs informed our doctors of this? In comparison, my doctor contacted PharmaSave at the same time, and a prescription was ready 2 hours later.

Rude lady at the front desk. Over the years she glares at clients when she orders them to approach her desk as though their very appearance is ruining her day. No normal greeting behaviour. Grabs the doctor's paper and snorts to go online, as if to say, \Get out if here!\ The Parksville lab has the same type of person at reception. The other staff at both labs are very nice.

A note on the door is not enough on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Change your website to reflect this. I googled this location today and it showed open til 4 pm. Upon arrival a note indicated otherwise. In the time I stood there 3 other people also came who were unaware of the closure. I was chastised by a rather hostile employee who said it had been like that for years now and it was either this or close it. Really???
