A great little walk close to home. When we first arrived and saw the parking area was full, we were very concerned about how busy it would be, however once we were on the trail it was quite clear and everyone was very respectful of distancing. The lookout over the old quarry was a perfect spot to stop for a snack and cider. The lake area has been partially cleared for skating, so we may head back to give that a shot. For the most part the paths were clear, although there aren't actual markings, so a good idea to snap a picture/download the map.

It’s an abandoned quarry for around 90 years, and after the great efforts of rehabilitation, it is now such a fascinating place. We can’t always ask from the earth, but we shall also pay back. The amazing colors of water are because of the calcium and magnesium carbonate I assume. The quarry trail is awesome too.

Pretty easy walking. The trail is well looked after; about 40 to 45 minutes to walk all the way around. Longer, if you stop to read about the quarry, its history, and some of the unique wildlife. Shorter if you take some of the cross-trails to get back.

This is a great site for a nice hike. It has trails, a pond, a couple of creeks, something for everyone. Decent sized parking lot though it does get full on nice days. Most people keep their dogs leashed unless it's very quite. There are a number of loops and a good guidepost/map near the entrance.

Loved this trail. Walking through all the trees was pretty special. It was a short 5 km walk but worth it!
