A beautiful dinning experience, elegant menu and warm welcoming atmosphere. The food is excellent and service exceptional. One of my favorite places. You will not be disappointed.

Beautifully prepared dishes. Fine relaxing dining experience. We were very well cared for by Lisa, the owner.

An exquisite dining experience in a warm decor. The chef is creative and the food is excellent. The staff isknowledgeable, competent and very efficient. That little beehive is very well managed and having lunch or dinner is a guaranteed treat.

Worst service I have ever saw. Served and charged us for a plate that wasn't what we ordered. Forgot the wine we asked for. Dirty dishes. Would not recommend the seafood risotto, rice was overcooked for my taste, and a flagrant absence of lobster. Our waitress was completely clueless, no apologies for hers and the chef numerous mistakes. A really bad experience. This place is run by incompetent people, would never return there.

We stopped into Privet House after several days touring the outskirts of Nova Scotia and having a massive number of fully deep fried meals: -Zachary was our waiter, he was super attentive and very talkative with many recommendations for the area and for the menu itself, A -I got the pulled pork plate with the spicy Caribbean Jerk sauce, it had quite a kick and made for some great pulled pork -My wife ordered the black bean burger with the side of vegetables, the burger was cooked just right and the vegetables were nice perk given the fully deep fried nature of our food over the days leading up -We tried the chowder as well, while not a super thick base like most American chowders it was still much thicker than many we have had in Nova Scotia, we found it just right from a consistency standpoint and great from a full flavor standpoint -The decor was very fun and amusing as well, really enjoyed it We would definitely return.

Used to be great. Now it's still pricey, but with spotty service, very bland for, and ribs were dry and carbonised! Asked for wipes for our hands from three people and each responded as if we just arrived from another planet. Won't return and can't recommend.
