Wow...what can I say...they took care of me and made me feel special at the same time. I went in for a used battery, they talked to me ...made me feel good about my situation...were friendly...were positive and took care of me right away. For such a small purchase, they made me feel like a big time customer. They went above and beyond what they need to do and didn't think twice about it. I would highly encourage you to call them or go there 1st...just made my day!! Thx-u to all that were there today and helped me out...just amazing!

If I could give you guys a negative star review I would! I Called at 8:04 am and asked for an alternator. I was told yes you have it in stock and that it would have to be pulled. Call back 4hours later. Told yard guy is out pulling it. Am called at 1 pm and told the car isn't even in your yard. So I waited for 5 hours for absolutely nothing. Thanks Astar
Do NOT trust this company to do an engine install. Can you imagine driving down the road, your brand new motor that you spent 4,000 on, only to stall in the middle on a busy highway crossroads with your two toddlers in the backseat? Imagine all your lights flashing and blinking, your vehicle sputtering, your steering completely stiff, and you are unable to pull over to safety. That's a scary thought, right? Well, that is what happened to me. We have spent well over 1,000 in sensors and shop appointments to try to determine what went wrong. Upon diagnostic tests and an investigation done by GM, we have mounds of evidence to prove that the installation of the motor, done by A-Star, was done very poorly. This company denies any responsibility and refuses to correct the potentially deadly damage that their poor workmanship has created. I could've been in a horrible accident that day, along with my young children. Would you have taken responsibility then, A-Star Automotive? By the way, still haven't driven my vehicle since August. Really cool for a mom of 2 who desperately needs her vehicle that she spent her whole savings on. Thanks for the colossal inconvenience you've caused me.
I have had a couple very good experiences here, until recently. Last time I called ahead about parts that I wanted to come see, I showed up within an hour and the front desk guy was nothing but rude. First told he told me the item wasn't there and that I 'must' have called another place (I showed him the phone number on my phone), he suddenly found the part in the system that came to see and then told me to come back the next day as they were closing in 20 minutes. I explained I was told to come on up and that I was only checking the part to see if I wanted it, then I would come back for it another day. Next time I came back for the part I went in to pay, he started to take my number and then took a phone call (which is fine but he didn't excuse himself...meh, not too big of a deal), problem is he then helped out 3 other people before continuing with me...as I stood there wanting to pay and get out, instead of having my kids in a shop during Covid. I wasn't impressed at all with how I was treated. When he realized I knew a regular customer of theirs...his tune completely changed. Unprofessional. I will however go back, as maybe, just maybe he was having a rough couple days. Plus it's not the companies fault he was a jerk.

Thank you so much. I was able to etranser and have my parts shipped to Edmonton and it was fast. They even took pictures, and sent them via text so I could see exactly what I was getting.
