What an incredible place! As you pull off the highway and down the winding driveway, you feel yourself drifting away from the busyness of life, and into a peaceful refuge. Nancy and Alex have a knack for making you feel comfortable, and love sharing the wonders of their property with their guests. There is something so special about sitting on the back deck with a glass of wine, watching a deer carefully graze around the yard. This B&B is honestly magical, and well worth the cost of the ferries to get here!

Herondell is one of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed in. The house itself is beautiful and cozy, the rooms are spacious, comfortable, and wonderfully quiet at night. The surrounding estate is vast and boasts a lovely garden complete with several ponds, a chicken coop, a newly built chapel, and even a dense forest, which Nancy and Alex, the kind and warmhearted hosts, are happy to show to the interested visitor. Nancy and Alex make their guests feel completely welcome and at home, they are mines of valuable information about what to do and what to see in the area, and last not least their delicious and simply perfect breakfast is a reason in itself to come and stay at Herondell. I only wish I could have stayed longer!
My friend, Carolyn, and I stayed at Herondell B & B before and after hiking the Sunshine Coast Trail. Nancy and Alex were so incredible in helping us with the logistics of getting on and off the trail, including accomodating our early return after multiple days of hiking in the rain. Not only were they welcoming to us but, upon our return, invited us and our very wet gear back into their home. The home is cozy and the rooms quiet and have everything you might need. We can't say enough good things about the breakfast--maybe only that we also wanted to stay for dinner! The property is absolutely beautiful and deserves some time spent walking around and enjoying the peacefulness of it. Given that they are long-time residents of the Powell River community they are a fountain of knowledge (places to eat, hiking options, and a history of the area) so we highly recommend having a beer or glass of wine with them at the kitchen table. It was a highlight of our trip. We will definitely be back as we tackle another section of the Sunshine Coast Trail. -Denise, Vancouver and Carolyn, Michigan.
Dear Nancy and Alex, We very much appreciated our stay at your B&B, its nice environment and the combination it offers of an easy access and nature. The room was big and very comfortable, your breakfast delicious and full of home made products, such as your exquisite freshly baked scone!
