Josh was amazing!!!! He took the time without pressure or interruption to explain how to properly care for each pet and suggested which pet would be suitable for me and my daughters lifestyle. Truly best customer service experienced in a long time. Someone deserves a raise!! Thank you.

This Petland is a pretty good pet store. I like their selection of fish supplies. They don't carry my brand of dog food and only have a few raw food selections but the service is usually very good. They carry products for all types of pets, not just cats and dogs. They also carry differing qualities of products, some not the greatest and some really good.
Very good petstore. They have wide variety of high quality products (especially for small animals like hamsters and guinea pigs - some brands of food I bought today aren't available elsewhere in/around Vancouver). Also I was very pleased to see available large size guinea pig cages. Overall - very positive experience.
Waited 15 minutes for someone to even look at us. Manager looked at us several times eventually and just ignored us. The salesperson proceeds to help someone who came after us so we ended up waiting 30 minutes for even a word to be said to us. When we finally walk out is when the manager says \have a great night\. No, I wanted to get my daughter a hamster and thanks to your lack of customer service, it will not be here. Overpriced and no customer service at all. Get your hamsters from Mr. Pet.. Half the cost and you actually get customer service.
I can appreciate the majority of the cages being a good size and well kept, but all the open cages did concern me for any parents not watching kids, or people dropping things in there. There were plenty of staff walking around though and monitoring. However, there were multiple dead fish in tanks, and bugs that had been dead a while. There was quite a bit of dust on products as well. Most things were quite overpriced like 45 for a bag of bedding where elsewhere the same bag is 30, kind of baffling honestly.
