Very friendly and helpful staff, beautiful location. The room I had was clean, bed was super comfy. The painting/upkeep of room itself was a little messy (paint, tilted lamp) but it wasn't enough to upset my stay. The only negative part was the lack of sound proof between rooms; I could hear my neighbors very clearly through the walls. Would certainly go back though

Absolutely love this place, it’s very cozy. The service we received from Matthew and Anna was great. They have bikes, snowshoes and skis to use as well. There was a fire going outside too. The food at the restaurant was amazing. I will surely be back !
Nice getaway location. Visited in Winter and it’s a beautiful spot with walking trails close by. Easy to get to, spacious rooms and beautiful views. Food was good (easy to use take out) and staff attentive to COVID protocols.
I really had a great experience. We got a deal at Travel Zoo so my family and I decided to go for the weekend. Since it was during the pandemic, there are limited room availability. We have a 3 month old child and we needed a fridge to store his milk. We called ahead to book for the fridge. The lady did not guarantee but when we get there, we were welcome and the portable fridge is already in our bedroom. Staff are very, very friendly. The place is cozy and quiet. Too bad it rained during the weekend but the place overlooking the lake is breathtaking. The experience is very welcoming and we don't mind going back again in the new future.
We had a great stay. We went when it was a lot of snow, it was pretty. Their spa was closed on Sundays and closes very early on Saturdays. We went for the weekend so we couldn’t even go to the spa. Their restaurant has great food. The dinner menu is very expensive though. They also have a bonfire where we sat for an hour and enjoyed.
The location is nice and the staff are helpful but the rooms and buildings are dated. Also, our room was not particularly clean, although they claim to be taking “extra” cleaning steps these days. The floors of our room were dirty and there were mouse droppings in the closet. We had a fireplace but the wood that is supplied is so green that all we were able to do was fill the room with smoke.
We had a great time at Sherwood Inn. We stayed in Cedarwood for thanksgiving during COVID time! Room was really comfortable, clean and quiet. The area of resort was really nice and romantic with different views to the lake. We even used the tennis court which was located next to the beach. Will definitely visit again.
My boyfriend and I had the most perfect stay at Sherwood Inn. From the moment we arrived we were treated with 5 star service from the front desk staff. A big thank you to Shauna for going above and beyond for us throughout our stay! We stayed in a private cottage which was super cute, cozy, and very clean. It had the most beautiful view onto Lake Joe. The sunsets at Sherwood are just incredible. I can't rave enough about this location. We will definitely be coming back in the fall for the foliage!!
