They were selling this retro arcade for 119.99tax on sale as listed on the website and in store. When I called to confirm if a coupon I was given for 15% would work they said yes, and confirmed the total would be around 117-119.00. When I went into the store the next day to make the purchase.. I noticed the price tag was now 129.99 and asked if they can honor the website price as of the day before when I spoke to them on the phone. The guy told me they never sold it for 119.99 and showed me the website with the 129.99 sale price tag. I told him I know it was 119.99 on the website as of the day before and even spoke to him the day before. He said he was not there that day and again insisted it was never that price. So, I said thanks and walked out. Not one other customer in the store.. end of the day.. and he lost 120.00 because of greed. He lied directly to my face when I am 100% certain I spoke with him the day before... same voice.. small store.. how many people possibly work there?! Even if it was not him on the phone it was that price at one point why not just honor your original sale price if someone from your store confirmed on the phone the day before that they would?! They still had loads of them in stock.. not like they were moving fast. Not a smart business move to be willing to lose a sale like that and lie directly to a potential customer. It is completely okay because I would rather give my money to a company that appreciates a sale and will not make a dumb business decision like that. Gladly, I found another store selling this item locally already and for cheaper on top of it. :) Keep it and good luck growing your business with that kind of mentality.
Unique and interesting products! Great service, the owner went above and beyond to help me out and inform me on all the products, super knowledgeable. You can see that a lot of effort and thought went into the store and customer relations. I'll definitely be sending some people their way!
Excellent experience and a store full of amazing gadgets and staff. I'm from out of town and I greatly appreciated the support and assistance I received from the staff while at their store. On top of that I'm loving my new toys I picked up from there. Especially my new 3D projector :) Thanks again Modern Idea!!
Pretty cool stuff but way too expensive. I feel like its a physical Amazon store. 99% of their items I found them on Amazon for a fraction of the price. I understand since they have to pay for the store and staff and such, but from a consumer standpoint, I will buy from the place with the better price, especially that it gets delivered to me instead of me going to buy it from a store.
First time at the store and I really loved the experience in the store, the innovative gadget and the friendly staff (Shaun), he is great. I got a beautiful powerbank and reasonable too. Thank you..
