I needed 2 pairs of scissors sharpened and dropped them off this past Tues. I was told they would be ready Fridayafternoon. I called around 3 pm Friday and was told they weren't there and no idea of status. The girl never called me back that day as I had asked to follow up. I then called on Sat. and told a different lady that I was still waiting to find when my scissors were ready. She told me she had a customer and when she had some time she'd try to track down the owner. (apparently I wasn't classed as a customer) 3 hours later I called again and was told she had nothing new to tell me so hadnt bothered to call back. Today, Wednesday, 8 days after dropping them off I went to the store. Still no scissors, the owner was finally tracked down and told me he'd just found them and didn't get any messages from his staff. I told him I wasn't prepared to wait any longer nor return to his out-of-my-way store and asked how was he going to get this resolved. His solution was to offer to deliver them to me in a few days or I could drive somewhere else to his warehouse and pick them up. Yee Gods! If you're a sewer you know how frustrating it is to not have access to your good fabric scissors for a long-delayed project just to be told you'll have to wait still longer. At that point, with no apology for the prolonged delay on so simple a task from the owner, I walked out of the store empty-handed. If I do go back in the hopes that my scissors might finally someday be ready, do they really expect me to pay the 20 ? sigh
