I bought two danelectro pedals a week apart, the second being today. Both of the pedals I couldn't find at the other shops in the area so finding them here was outstanding. And I ended up paying less than I expected. I cannot recommend this shop enough for anyone who's looking for a great entry to mid level guitar, or an acoustic. The guy that works there is really good dude who knows his stuff, I over heard him helping some new players and their parents while I was trying a pedal and he's exactly the person you want to see when buying a first or second guitar, or if your buying for your kids. Hes honest, patient, and made sure the customers I saw him with had all their questions answered, and answered them honestly. Its a great shop to check out, the prices are unbeatable and I like i said, you can't ask for a better person to help you with instruments.

I’ve been coming into this store for a while buying strings and such for my acoustic. I’m a beginner and my guitar felt really hard to play. I mentioned it and they said bring it in. Well, for a very small sum of money they fixed the action and it’s like a brand new instrument. Genius. These guys are awesome. They have all my business moving forward.
Both my kids are in lessons here and they love it.
I was thrilled with the service we received from their friendly and knowledgeable staff in purchasing a Ukulele for my son. Times are tough with covid stock shortages and lingering effects from 2019s prolonged construction work on Locke street. Please support locally owned businesses. Picks & Sticks also offer free parking in their adjacent parking lot, a bonus to find on Locke street.
Great helpful staff whether you are buying a guitar, drum sticks or a ukulele or taking lessons for guitar, bass, piano or vocals!! Mostly love the lp record selection, rare albums in great shape!!! Always seem to run into cool musicians in the store and Gord Lewis from Teenage Head gives lessons there also. Local vibe not like the big box music stores you go into
