Nice place, friendly people but you would think they know the difference between Light Rye and French Bread. Even though I double checked at the store because something didn't look right I was assured I had the light rye. The Pumpernickel was great - chalk the other one up to the Christmas rush.

So this lovely Bakery is on the bike route from Toronto to Ajax. I love this place. The treats you get while on a Sunday morning bike ride is the exact breakfast/break that keeps you going until you get to your destination. The sausage rolls are the perfect snack/breakfast while on your bike ride and the brownies are the snacks you bring home to your gf as a souvenir of your ride! I'm not a person with a big sweet tooth, so those brownies are perfect for me; soft, moist, a little less dense and the fudge is a light layer right on top. ***IMPORTANT*** You cannot have that treat without a glass of milk!!
I bought fresh bread, chocolate mousse cake, custard cake and pizza dough. The smell in the place is delicious. 4 because it is small and it is cold outside. I had to wait a while. They do offer the option to order ahead . Which I will do for next time. That will make the process faster .
This bakery is delicious! Butter tarts (pictured) are my favourite but everything we got was delicious - butter cookies, apple pie cookie (apple pie on top of a sugar cookie?!? Whaaaa?!?), egg bread, and the tarts. The worst part about this is how close I live. I’m gonna have to buy new pants.
