We have dealt with Prestige twice in the last two years to replace two exterior doors and several windows. Chris has been an excellent resource and sales representative who always answered our questions, and provided revised estimates in an expedited fashion. On our latest project, Prestige sent over Chris and Christian to install the new exterior balcony door and a couple of storm windows. Their attention to detail, efficiency, work ethic, and overall professionalism was second to none. We will definitely be looking to Prestige for our future window and door needs! If you are looking for quality work, excellent customer service, and fair pricing, give Prestige a call!

We had Prestige Windows and doors from Peterborough replace 9 windows and two sliding doors in our home in the summer of 2018. We have had problems with almost all of them. The sliding door that they installed off of our living room leaked and caused 7000 damage to our hardwood floor. All of the boards in front of the door are buckled. (pic). After removing the door to inspect, they admitted that they made an installation error causing the leak. We have had 5 flooring companies look at the floor and said it was impossible to fix, it needs to be replaced, but Prestige refused to contact their insurance company or pay for the floor. We had to take them to small claims court.(outcome pending) The downstairs sliding door was installed wrong as well and we had snow coming in last February causing a snow drift in our basement.(pic), They removed the flashing and caulked but now the door is leaking through the frame (pic) and we are having a hard time getting them back to look at it. Thank God we do not have the hardwood in that room yet or we would be replacing that floor too. Avoid Standard door company doors. Other problems we had or are still having, shims left sticking out, handles mounted wrong, windows that won't close after being left open overnight, the list is long! We have a blown seal in the dining room window and fog between the glass. This window is only 1 1/2 years old and the seal is blown already. (pic). Someone else we know that had Prestige replace their windows one month before us have had 5 seals blow already. Avoid VWD windows. My wife and I are thoroughly disgusted with the lack of professionalism of fighting to get the floor fixed when they admitted liability, won't return phone calls, won't return e-mail, postponing appointments, cancelling appointments. Want to do \quick fixes\ to solve problems, etc. Do yourself a favour, RUN! GO SOMEWHERE ELSE!
We are very pleased with Prestige, who just completed a new back door installation for us. From the first estimate, to my dealings with the office, and finally the polite and professional installation team, everything went smoothly and met our requirements. Would definitely use them again without hesitation.
The installers arrived on time. They were very professional and went straight to work. They cleaned up after they were finished. They did a terrific job. The windows look great. I will request them again when we do our next set of windows. A very fine product combined with great service.
We ordered a sunroom in June 2018 and it was completed July 2019, 13 months later, 9 more months than we were told it would take to finish. During the 13 month interval, phone calls and emails to Prestige went regularly unreturned, I was often not notified when someone actually was coming (until the day they were coming), and when I asked to speak to Ron (the owner) about the delays and difficulties, he did not personally contact us either. 7 months went by without hearing from him. A large pile of rubbish was left behind our house for months, from January until April. One of the piers to anchor our sunroom was installed incorrectly and had to be redone. Build materials were left outdoors by the side of my garage most of the winter, frozen to the ground. When these were picked up in the spring, I was told we would get new material, but then, the same material was returned to our job. A modest discount for our trouble was offered near the end of the project, but on the final invoice, this was backed out of the tax calculation, to put another couple of hundred dollars into Prestige's pockets. I asked that the invoice be recalculated so that the discount was applied before tax but Prestige insisted on their accounting. Admittedly, that did cause me to consider not paying a portion of that last invoice at all. If you do negotiate on price, be sure to get it in writing that any discounts etc are before tax so that you don't get a surprise at the end. On a positive note, the sunroom does look nice, although one of the windows doesn't lock properly. There's a longer list of issues documented by date, but this overview paints a picture of how things went. The best thing about this job was that it did get finished and we didn't lose our deposit. Some of the people at Prestige were friendly and competent, so to acknowledge that, this project earns a 2 star rating. Overall, however, a difficult experience.
