Great COVID protocols - you drop your skates on a table, he sharpens / repairs them, and he brings them back to the table outside (where you pay too). They have other things too - I saw pairs of skates and hockey equipment in there. Fair prices, great customer service. We'll be back!

Shawn was very thorough in sharpening mine and my sister's skates. He seemed very knowledgeable. And it only cost 8 a pair for a standard sharpen. One note is that they don't take cards, only cash or e transfer.
All 5 of us take our skates here, Shawn's great! Even had a pair of second hand figure skates that needed a lot of attention, he got them in great shape for my daughter!

There is more here than skate sharpening! This is my go to place to get my goalie skates and player skates sharpened. I am a goalie and play several times a week. My blades take a lot of abuse as a result. Prior to finding Evinrude Blades, I was getting my skates sharpened at an arena where I played regularly as well as the occasional box store sharpening service. My blades were a mess. More often than not, particularly in the box store setting, I was ignored when I would ask for a specific grind. I’d ultimately spend a few minutes at the bench with a piece of wood taking my edges down because they were way too sharp. I bought new steel for my goalie skates from Evinrude Blades a few years back. Shawn installed, profiled, and sharpened them. What a huge difference that made. I have had those blades sharpened there ever since and had nothing but consistent results. As I mentioned at the start, there is more here than sharpening! I have purchased replacement parts for my gear, have had repair work done on my pads, and picked up great accessories! Everything has been priced very reasonably! The new location on the Queensway may not be “in house” at an arena, but trust me, it is not out of the way and it’s very easy to get to! You are minute from the local arenas. Folks, this is where to come for your skate services plus more! Shawn is conscientious and loves what he does. You will get professional results, but have that small town treatment while you are here. Get out and support your local small business. Come to Evinrude Blades. You won’t be disappointed!
