Experienced, knowledgeable staff. Great selection of new and old tabletop,role-playing games and supplies. Fairly competitive pricing. I've heard rumors about the owner being difficult, but in my experience he's never been anything other than friendly and helpful.

I can only surmise that the people writing a positive review of this place, work there and are doing so under pressure by the owner, whom I've known for several decades. The place is messy, cluttered and the service... wait, what service? A friend of mine described shopping there very eloquently; "It's not like he's looking at you as if you were about to steal something, he looks at you as if you have ALREADY stolen something, and are looking to run out with it" So, if this is your idea of a good place to shop, enjoy while you can, he's looking to unload this white elephant to any sucker with a chequebook. Pendragon is awesome! They have Friday Night Magic Tournaments. Entry is 5 but you leave with a booster. Everybody has a fair shot. The owners are friendly. People I know who use Pendragon for hobbies keep going back!
I guess if you want to feel like you're a suspected shoplifter the second you walk through the door (dressed in a suit, tie and carrying a briefcase to boot), this might be the store for you. Otherwise give this place a pass. Prices unreasonable, poor interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. A lot better to shop on-line and get a PDF or have the book delivered right to your door.
Solid hobby shop. I recently found out that the veteran behind the desk was the same guy that sold games to my dad there too
