My daughter and I are looking to purchase a used golf cart for taking food orders from our Restaurant to patrons at our marina on the Mainland in Port Moody... I contacted Mark in Nov. of 2016 inquiring if he had something at a low end price that I might be interested in...I was willing to buy one "as-is" due to just opening up our restaurant and our coffers are not very full...He checked his inventory, called me back with a couple of options.. I arranged to view them(finally) early in Jan 2017... Short story is, I had concerns over amount of repair costs after purchase so, he had his tech. go over it... After getting an estimate together, he called me up, told me straight that he would not sell me this unit as it required that too many components be replaced...I agreed, after his explanation and felt very grateful I had contacted them rather than another dealer who may have sold me a "pig-in-a-poke"... I was in the customer service industry for many years and can say with authority that Island Golf Cars dealt with me with utmost integrity...(Very refreshing)... I will await a call from Mark and know that if they can find me another affordable/serviceable unit, they will be my "go-back to" place... Got my cart, a new onward a couple months ago. Got the fender flares and they need to have them. Cart runs great, easy to service the batteries, was treated very well at the dealership. My only complaint would be that people flag you down just to check it out. So far, it's been a good experience.
Update for June 2020 Isle Golf Cars came through and picked up our old car in mid-June. It did take 10 months but they did finally deliver on their promise. I have upgraded the rating to 4 stars accordingly. FRUSTRATED CUSTOMER We purchased a Club Car from Isle Golf Cars in August 2020 for use as a utility vehicle at my father-in-law's farm at Salt Spring Island. The good news is that they delivered as promised and we are very happy with the new vehicle. The bad news has been our customer service experience. A key part of the agreement was for Isle Golf Cars to both deliver the new car to Salt Spring AND to use their delivery truck on the same trip to remove and dispose of our old golf car which had ceased to operate. Apparently this was not communicated to the delivery driver and he did not remove the old golf car. Kevin, the company's sales rep indicated that they would pick up the car on their next service trip to the Island. It is now January 21st, FIVE MONTHS later, and the old car is still sitting in the driveway despite repeated calls. Isle Golf Cars did not even respond to my last email requesting to at least commit to a date as to when they will complete their obligation to remove the old car.
