This guy is part of the reason you should not attend major medical needs in Fort McMurray. He made mistakes in my mother's surgery resulting in infections and more surgeries due to his negligence. On top of that, he CONFRONTED her for going to the emergency room due to pain. "Pain in normal" Yes doctor, but how about you pick up the phone?!

No issues with the actual doctors/care I receive here but how the heck are you supposed to get hold of them?!? I have been calling multiple times per day for 2 straight weeks and it either goes to a fax tone or says "mailbox is full" ....I don't get home until 7pm every night so can't just "pop down" ....been waiting for a referral to Edmonton since July 24th and thinking it's gotten lost in the chaos of the day I was there and they had no receptionist/someone filling in from another office.

After waiting weeks for my 6 week follow up appointment and 40 minutes in the office and still waiting to see doc. A lady came out and asked me in a room for a min. Saying I should go see my family doc for an appointment. I said that wasn't cool, I came all the way down here and made the appointment when my husband was home and needed my follow up done. I can't believe she was trying to get me to leave without seeing the doc!! I'm pretty upset right now

Updated!... finally ran out of patience after nearly 1.5 hours waiting since my "appointment" was meant to be, plus food poisoning and anxiety doesn't help. Anyways after leaving the room I informed the receptionist that I was unable to wait any longer and they became very rude!.... I have been to this doctor before and he's good at his job. Receptionist are so kind but waiting over an hour to see him when I had an appointment is unacceptable! My appointment was for 345pm it's now a few minutes til closing and still haven't seen him yet Honestly unless you feel like being left in a tiny room that feels like it's about 35C for over an hour I would never recommend this place.

nothing against the doctor - this clinic is poorly run. Tried calling about 5 times to alert the clinic I was running a few minutes late due to finding a parking spot. The wait times are absolutely unbelievable. No one should have to wait hours after an appointment is booked to see a doctor.

Guaranteed 2 hour wait everytime. He belittles you. Can not get ahold via telephone. Useless office. Terrible doctor. Lady parts problems are miserable, but when the doctor is the one making it an unbearable experience, there is a problem. And when you can not get ahold of the office to schedule follow up on colposcopy results..even bigger problem.

Dr. Phiri is the only good doctor in this town. And even when he is busy he always have a time to explain everything and he always listening patient .

Dr. Phiri delivered my daughter in 2012, and has performed multiple colposcopy and a LEEP on my cervix. He is a knowledgable doctor, however I had a major issue with the receptionist. I called to book an appointment for a follow up colp 6 months after the Leep & his receptionist said there was nothing on file for me for a followup.... 6 months go by and I call to get my information sent over to a new gyno since I had moved. Turns out I was supposed to go for another colposcopy back in June. Obviously with cervical cancer being a time sensitive issue, I was appalled to hear that I am half a year behind on treatment. It doesn't seem as if his staff really care about the patients health. Dr. Phiri is a great doctor but to give clients wrong information that could affect their fertility, life and womanhood is NOT OKAY. As if spreading yourself on a table to get your insides cauterized isn't damaging enough, to make the problem worse simply because his staff didn't have the due diligence to make a simple call and admit a mistake. Very frustrating and upsetting.
