Beautiful little church converted into a mosque that we stopped to on the way to the Bruce Peninsula. The Imam, 'Abd ul-Hafīż, was very kind as well.

We were passing through before Maghrib-time when we saw their sign outside of a church-like building. We love visiting mosques in cities we spend any time in at all so we stopped here as well, which lined up with Eid-ul-Adha as well. We met Brother Motahsim who said Eid Mubarak, told us about the wonderful people who started the mosque 2 years ago, the community that comes from surrounding towns for prayers, the kind nature of the Imam and how it's like being the only Muslim religious organization in the area. Cards and posters with volumes of signatures from neighboring organizations showing support after the events in Quebec were amazing to see. The main prayer hall is split in half to accommodate all brothers and sisters for the five daily prayers offered including Jummuah plus Eid prayers. Downstairs had a bathroom for wudhu, large area for socializing paired with a kitchen and a nursery. It's fantastic to see a such an open mosque with a seemingly beautiful community, all nestled within the quiet northern plains of Ontario.
Very clean masjid, right on the highway. The congregation is very welcoming Mash'allah. Please keep your shoes on the shoe racks. Be generous and donate for your sake.
