It’s a famous theatre in the Outremont district. It’s a historic building where many of the local schools bring their students to watch movies, drama, and many other visual art performances. It has wide space sitting arrangements in a huge auditorium. It’s helping to the school students to learn cultural and historical dimensions of the Québec society through visual arts like movies, drama and many stage performances.

One of my favourite hang outs in Montreal, excellent programmes usually in the hip borough of mile end...visit and no regret!
This place is magic. It's old timey and whimsical. It's so well kept and the architecture is gorgeous. Seats are comfy but a bit stuffy, there's barely any wiggle room between rows so once you sit down don't think you can get up without bothering everyone else. I've seen many movies and shows here and I've always been satisfied. The balcony area is not as fun as the floor seats. I am surprised they allow people to drink in the theatre itself, I cringe when I hear or see people spill their drinks. The maintenance it must take to keep it looking spotless every time must be insane. I really encourage you to see something here. It's worth the trip but be mindful of your drink! Also please do not sneak food in, unless it's something that won't make a mess.
This theater is a landmark in Outremont. I love the art deco style of the theater's interior. There is a small bar where you can get a drink before the show. I regularly go to the Outremont theater to watch the movies that are shown on Monday. Let us say that their selection of movies is interesting, which sometimes means extremely good, but also sometimes means absolutely dreadful. But mostly very good and many of these movies cannot be seen anywhere else. Unfortunately, the acoustics of the theater is mediocre for the movies. I have learned to not sit in the five last rows of the ground floor to avoid being located right under the back speakers. And I have enjoyed the movies!
A beautiful theatre in the heart of Outremont. And do use the bathrooms as they are beautiful.... With the trip just for that
