I have always had a wonderful experience at Sweet Bite. The cakes and cookies are always delish, raspberry mousse being a favourite of mine. We frequently bring these through to parties and other events and they are always a hit. The staff are polite, courteous and helpful, even though, at times there are some "lost in translation" moments - but this is Ottawa and we expect that. There is one staff who is extremely helpful - always greeting me with a smile and friendly "Hello, how can I help you?" I noticed a review below where someone included photos of the staff/patrons trying to cover their face and were obviously used without their consent. I would advise removing those photos as it is unlawful to take photos of people on private property without their consent. I actually visited the store directly after this altercation which resulted in the "so-called" review. I believe greater context is necessary on that review - particularly, since the altercation resulted in the store calling the police. What I gathered was that the lone staff member simply asked the "patron" to leave who had already been there for several hours loitering. She was well within her rights to ask that person to leave and he reacted in an irrational manner causing the other patron in the store to come to her defence. If I were in a similar situation, I would have acted the same - and justly so. I would not put any stock in that review and would advise you not do so either.

We stopped in for a late night dessert after dinner. Had a creme brûlée and a raspberry mousse. Both really yummy. The woman working was kind and helpful. We requested water in “to stay” cups and she was happy to provide us with an alternative to their single-use cups and plastic bottles. Thanks for the lovely experience! We will be back for macarons :)

The place is not busy so u can take your time enjoy the dessert and drink. But the dessert and drink quality are not really good. And the staffs need more training or the customer will feel not trustful.

I ordered a large cake. Paid extra for the cake and they send me a small cake. This is not the way to do business. Yes the cake was great and all that . That's not the point. You dont charge extra for a large size and send a small. Very unhappy
The server was really nice and patience explaining abour the turkish coffee. the cake I had was nice. moist and sweet.
Cakes looking tasty and inviting but lacking in flavour and freshness. Will not return.
