Steamatic did a great Job fixing the water damage in our basement. Water damage to the wall and small flood on our carpeted floor. Repaired the wall, removed the mold and wet carpet. Replaced the damaged wall and carpet and painted the room. It looks fantastic!! Bob was very professional and we are very happy with his work. Shout out to Russel as the point man, he was informative and got our wet carpet out fast and initial quick clean up. Thanks Steamatic!

Would not recommend. Driver really unprofessional on the Road. Trew a lighted smoke butch by the windows and came on my hood. No respect at all.

The Initial response to flooding is fast and good! However, as time goes by during the repair service declines and actually management becomes difficult to discuss issues with the Company and some items that are not repaired the expectation. Unfortunately, the customer service declined in quality the more Stephane Lavictoire became present in the file. He is curt and dismissive. Sylvain is an asset to this company and they should be thankful for his positive customer service attitude and keen work ethics. The insurance does not really get involved and they seems to let the Steamatic decide what is satisfactory. The plumber they use are not recommended. The Orleans Flooring Company they use is good.

We had a burst pipe and insurance put us in touch with this company. They took 2.5 days to come in, took some measurements and pictures and then left. We heard nothing for over a week. All of our friends told us this was not normal. That these things moved fast. Meanwhile, my husband and I wrestled wet carpets out of the basement. We felt abandoned. We finally called a second company who came with hours, on a Saturday. The took samples and arranged for work to start the next business day. Meanwhile, as that second company began work, Steamatic called to see if they could come take samples and drop off a dehumidifier. This was two weeks after the burst pipe. Would not recommend this company.

Would not recommend using this company. We had a flood in our basement this summer. We rent our place, so our insurance company was only responsible for contents. They put us in touch with Steamatic. It took two days for them to finally send a sub-contracted company of their own to deal with our basement. Our landlord had to delay the work in the basement because our stuff hadn't been dealt with. After everything was sorted, documented and taken away, it took weeks for Steamatic to provide us with an accurate list of our damaged contents. They initially tried to take pictures of our stuff at their warehouse and use that as a reference, not knowing that everything had been documented by the company that came to our house. It took more than 6 weeks for them to get the list and valuation to us. Considering the amount of contents, this was unacceptable and caused the entire process of being reimbursed for our stuff to take 2 months. Early on, I specifically emailed Stephane to not throw out or discard of any of our contents until he had spoken to us. We had missed grabbing a few sentimental items before our stuff was taken away and were hoping to get them back. Other restoration companies say they won't get rid of anything until they have written authorization. As soon as we settled with the insurance company, I asked to come and get some of our items. After multiple attempts to contact him, Stephane said they had been thrown out. I understand that they company got busy (floods in the city and the tornadoes that hit in September), but the entire process with Steamatic was beyond frustrating. The company does not appear to be very organized and it shows in how they deal with customers. Again, would not recommend using them if you don't have to.
