Went to Ottawa Perogies on Baxter road and picked up some perogies for lunch. They were fantastic! Lots of variety, and they even offer vegan options. Frozen food as well. I called their number, and they had it hot & ready in no time! It was delicious. I will be back!

We purchased two types of perogies for our Ukrainian Christmas Eve dinner. The filling is so tasty and hearty! You could tell that each perogie was made with love and precision. The staff are so generous and kind. Buying our Christmas Eve dinner from Ottawa Perogies will be a new family tradition for us!
We bought frozen cabbage rolls, borscht, and perogies. Since a member of our family is pescatarian, we got the vegetarian rolls and the sauerkraut and the potato-and-sour-cream perogies; it's great that Ottawa Perogies offers vegetarian and vegan options. The cabbage rolls did not have too much sauce and were very good. The perogies were also excellent, miles ahead of mass-produced perogies that can be bought at the supermarket. Two packages were enough for a meal for four and ample leftovers. (I think the cook-time suggested on the packaging is a little long, but to each their own.) The borscht was the only real disappointment. We are used to Russian-style borscht, which tends to be thicker; this borscht was a little thin for our tastes, and had too few beets, though it still had a rich taste. One of the principal concerns of potential customers is probably the cost. Given that everything is handmade and of exceptional quality, the price is more than justifiable—these people have to be able to make a living. To be clear, if you're looking for a cheap meal, this isn't it—but if you have the money to spend on good tasty traditional eastern European food, this is the place to go.
Perogie's amazing....but the person behind the counter made my day. So friendly and fun. Not a lot of things can make you smile in these crazy times...this place will.

I live out of province and wanted to get a food care package delivered to some friends in Ottawa. Ottawa Perogies were amazingly helpful. I contacted them late on a Friday afternoon, not expecting to hear back until sometime the following week, but they wrote back that evening with all sorts of helpful information. When I mentioned it was a care package, they offered to include a note with a message from me along with the delivery. I assumed it would just be a printed piece of paper or something, but when my friends sent me a picture of the delicious-looking delivery, it was a hand written card! Truly above and beyond - I just wish I could have tasted the perogies and cabbage rolls! Highly recommended for care packages for your loved ones in Ottawa.
I stopped to check this out because it says Ukrainian/Hungarian cuisine and I don’t what know type of food they’re serving at this place but pardon my French it is NOT AUTHENTIC. The food was bland, flavourless overly priced soggy slop and a disappointing representation of European food. Not even going to lie about being a horrible person and going as far as throwing it out.
