Absolutely fantastic food. The entire team puts care, attention to detail and fresh ingredients into all the dishes. I have had a couple pasta dishes, the pastries and my favorite, the burger where they use a toasted brioches bun. Currently eating a sea salt brownie and it is fantastic. Thank you to the entire team - Jody and Chef Ryan for a lovely experience.

Le St. Laurent is east Ottawa's gem. Both their lunch and dinner options are delicious. The chicken sandwich is one of my favourites in town. We ordered a set menu for dinner and everything from appetizer to dessert was amazing - especially the lobster risotto and sticky toffee (please being these back to the menu at some point!). I recommend this spot to all my friends and family!
We’ve been so thrilled to support a local restaurant, Le St Laurent, throughout the pandemic, with their delicious take-out options. It’s not often that you get fine dining options to eat in the comfort of our own home! The chef and his team prepare delicious meals consistently. We are lucky to have this local dining option so close to home, and happy to support them during such an uncertain time.
Very disappointing. We wanted to support a local small restaurant as we’re able to dine in restaurants again. Unknowingly the menu was changed from what’s on their website to a menu without direction. We arrived craving traditional French, and wanted the steak frities, and a simple traditional French dish was removed from their menu. I received a bland apple salad, and a dry tasteless crispy tofu for the main. I would have ordered the beef Wellington until I’m saw a table order the dish and it came out looking dry and boring. Ottawa has a lot of great restaurants, I would not suggest eating here. To answer the owners question (see owner’s reply), we did eat at your restaurant. We had the 8pm reservation, and we ordered exactly what I mentioned above. I would have written an email; however, I wanted to share your updated menu which wasn’t present on your website, and provide feedback on the food. On a positive note, the waitress was very friendly and kind, we tipped her well as the decisions in food and menu change wasn’t her fault.
A hidden gem with amazing views and even better food. Staff and Chef are outstanding especially during these trying times! Chef Ryan knows how to balance great flavours and textures. I’ve ordered from Le St. Laurent at least once a week the past few months and everything I’ve ordered has been perfect!
Great food, classy cocktails (made by someone who makes it seem easy), and an amazing view. The starters were too difficult to choose from, but we were assured that the choices we made were going to be good ones -- and they were. (I had the marrow and wife had the beet salad, but I assume the menu changes regularly). Mains were steak frites and a braised short rib... Can't speak for the former because my wife didn't let me have any (which means she liked it a lot) and mine was tender enough to not even need the knife. Decent wine selection and a knowledgeable bartender (as well as the rest of the staff) rounded out a birthday meal that will keep me coming back.
Unexpectedly different, stimulating and everything you would want for a dining experience. Chef Ryan is an artist and deserves a fully booked restaurant for his entire time in the business. You’ll be talking about the meal you had for weeks to come. I dine out to have something I can’t experience at home, and Le St. Laurent is worth your money and time.
Good food, nice set-up, great tunes, awesome views of the city and attentive staff. Kicking ourselves for not checking it out earlier. So happy to finally have a nice dinner place in the 'hood.
