What a waste. This could have been such a beautiful and engaging social space for the community. Instead, it's essentially a suburban shopping mall, but outdoors. There's a vast empty, uninviting space that some clueless planner seemed think people would enjoy hanging out in. But its so completely devoid of character - I've been to more charming parking lots. If you venture too near a moderately interesting water feature, a security guard will keep a watchful eye to make sure nobody gets too close and heaven forbid, actually touch the fountain. I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 because there are occasionally decent events at the venue. But it's definitely not a space you'd want to linger either before or after.

This is only for the Christmas visit, not sure if the parking is free, but we just went there just for Christmas lights. It was nice. The areas look like they have a cool mall and a farmer's market. Worth a drive through with any winter visit to Ottawa.

Lansdowne is a very very beautiful park. Walking by the Rideau canal. It is a very nice place to take a peaceful walk. There are also shops, restaurants, even a basketball court.

Beautifully decorated for the holidays. My complaint is that there isn't enough free parking. Otherwise, it's a great addition to the city and enjoyable to walk around, skating on the rink or sit in the playground.
