I don't understand why I can't reply to the managers that respond to my reviews in here. First of all, you are not the owner of the company. Google offers lots of information about the owner of Hakim optical and he is not the one writing replies. He has more important things to do. When it comes to the quality of the frames, everyone can see that the material is cheap and you sell it at a very expensive price. They are made in China. Next time when the frame brakes , I will post it on the website so everyone can see that you are just lying (my dear "owner" of the optical store)

I was browsing for glasses a few months ago when I witnessed a conflict between the staff and an elderly, francophone woman. One staff member was extremely unprofessional and very rude, berating and pretty much kicking her out of the store because she didn't want to leave without an explanation she fully understood. I stepped in when this staff member, a young brunette man who claimed to be the manager, threatened to throw her glasses away if she wouldn't leave. He was rude to me as well so I reported this to Hakim Opticals customer service line, including the behaviour of the employee who claimed to be the manager. I don't know if this person really was the manager, as they behaved so poorly, but I see this staff member there almost every time I pass by. I will not visit this location again and would advise the same to you. UPDATE: Please see owner's response below. Not sure what was "assumed and accused" as I did not speak on what led to the dispute. As such I have made zero assumptions/ accusations regarding what led to it nor Hakims responsibilities in regards to fixing glasses from other companies. Rather, I specifically addressed a customer service concern regarding unacceptable treatment of customers. My only regret is not videotaping this abhorrent treatment as abuse and disrespectful treatment should not be tolerated from staff either.

Excellent service , I ordered two pair of eyeglasses and the staff was very helpful choosing the frame that fits me best after the order was placed I received a phone call to inform me that the glasses were ready. Great customer service. The glasses are lovely I have receive many compliments on my new glasses. Thank you

Dr. Dawn Song was the worst experience I ever had with a medical professional. She was incompetent, rude, and angry. First, she was unable to properly place the eye exam lens on my eyes, then proceeded to blame my height for her mistake. She was extremely impatient and didn't leave any time between the two comparisons and when I asked her to slow down, she said to just choose in an angry tone. She became angry when I said an incorrect letter and at one point insinuated that I was lying. At one point she sat right in front of the lens I was supposed to see from and so all I could see was her head and not the letters I was supposed to read; when I asked her to move, she, again became visibly angry and told me that I needed to change my position. She made me feel scared with her loud, combative tone. I was uncomfortable the entire time. However when she continued to be loud, rude, angry, combative, and accusatory, I realized that her incompetence was probably going to affect my prescription, asked her to stop, and left the room. I asked for a refund from one of the employees and she came out form the office and threw cash at me. It felt so cheap and disrespectful. She did not try to right the situation or even talk to me. She then proceeded to tell the other employees (in a loud angry voice) that it was my choice to leave. I was polite and courteous to her; gave her a few chances and even when I left, I did not argue or confront her; yet she still followed me and yelled at me. This was a horrible experience; not something I ever find myself in; but her unprofessionalism and incompetence are not acceptable. I came home so upset and I intend to bring this to the attention of the College of Optometrists of Ontario. Hakim optical would do right by terminating their private contract with her as she only makes them look bad with these negative reviews.

I purchased my new glasses from here. Everyone was very kind and was willing to go the extra mile to help me. I recommend this place to everyone especially the store Manager Granite who made sure i got my glasses ready the same day as i was travelling out of the country and need it new glasses urgently thank you

I had wonderful experience with Valdet (Val) who helped me pick out 2 pairs of glasses. He has wonderful customer service and called me as soon as the first pair came in as he knew O was short on contacts. Unlike other experiences I received at other Hakim Opticals,Valdet wass wonderful. If you need to go to any Hakim Optical please consider going to the one at Billings Bridge and ask for him.
