15 Y.O. KENMORE TOP LOADING laundry machine stopped mid-cycle just weeks before tenant moving out - serviced the next day. Turned out to be a switch and the technician had the part on hand; fixed within 2 hours, repair was less than half the replacement cost so worth doing. Very satisfied.

I called Capital Appliance Repair based on the good reviews i found online. My experience could not have been worse. The \technician\ showed up in a car, not a work truck. No business identification on the car or the technician. Also, the credit card receipt said Target Appliance Repair from North York ON. Red Flag. My stove/range/oven had sparked several times causing the breaker to trip. After the 3rd time in a few months (I don't use the stove that much) I decided to get it looked at. I explained that it didn't trip every time and I wanted him to open up the oven top to see what was going on. The \technician\ proceeded to turn the burner on and off and said it worked fine. I explained that it obviously didn't work fine because that is why I called the company to investigate. At this point he basically refused to open the oven/range top and said there was nothing he could do because the oven worked fine. I was extremely upset because i was being charged 60 for the service call and he had been on site for about 5 minutes at that point. I paid the bill and asked him and his associate to leave. My next call was to Whirlpool (maker of the oven) and they agreed to send another company to check the stove as sparking and tripping the breaker was considered a safety issue. The following week a professional company showed up and I explained what had happened. This guy opened the stove top in 2 minutes ( only a couple of screws to remove) and the pictures speak for themselves. It was instantly obvious what was happening. One of the wires under the glass range top was causing the short / tripping. I had to buy a new stove but did get a partial credit from Whirlpool. I do not recommend Capital Appliance Repair. What a brutal experience.

We employed Capital Appliance Repair to install a dishwasher at our house. We could not have received worse service. The technician came and pointed out that the connection between the drain and the sink was not the right size, but he then sold us a part that he said would fix the problem, and completed the installation. After he left, we ran the dishwasher and the connection immediately came off and flooded underneath our sink. When we called to ask them to fix the problem with installation, they accused us of lying, said that its a plumbing problem not an install problem, and berated us over the phone, constantly talking over us and interrupting. We agree that it is a plumbing issue, but the technician should not have completed the job, sold us additional parts, and charged us for the install knowing that what he did wouldn't work! To top it off, the argument the customer support person gave doesn't make sense: if it's a plumbing problem that he knew about, why would he install the drain knowing it wouldn't work? And if he thought it would work, then they should take responsibility for it being improperly installed. Either way, we could have tried to find solutions instead of them taking a combative approach and myself and my partner being yelled at and talked over for the better part of 10 minutes. Was told a manager would call us the next day to discuss a resolution to our problem. Never got a call back. Genuinely appalled at their level of professionalism.

Victor from Capital Appliance Repair was professional, and honest about the issues WRT our fridge. He was able to diagnosis and quickly correct the issues, which was a fried inverter board. Thank you to Victor for coming on a weekend, correcting our issue, and doing it so professionally. I’m very satisfied with the service and would recommend them to others with fridge or applicable issues.

Kenmore Elite induction stove top - Very professional, courteous and friendly Yuri. He was honest and straightforward explaining the problem we were facing. I was previously aware that parts for an induction stove top would be expensive, but Yuri made sure I knew what I was benefiting from replacing the faulty part. He provided me with options and was very knowledgeable. I would definitely call CAR again should I need to, and will recommend anytime.
