Well the concept was incredibly fabulous! I am a fanatic of hot chocolate! However,... it seems the employees weren’t well organized. My chocolate didn’t arrive super « hot » and I asked a whipped cream. At first I couldn’t see anything so I remind yo the worker. Then they were saying the whipped cream melted... my instant question « how long this hot chocolate cup were waiting at the back?? » I tried the milk chocolate and dark chocolate flavors (with my partner). Clearly... there isn’t he real « melted » homemade hot chocolate. Tastes quite watery I’m sure they did use milk but it was so liquid. Whatever disappointed for the price. The dessert looks delicious by the way. I love the concept of grilled marshmallow ! Too full to try. Maybe their dessert are better than their hot chocolate.

I want to start off with the one and ONLY negative thing I have to say about Cacao 70 and that is with the multiple visits to cacao I find the crust on the marshmallow pizza is always undercooked. Other than that it is sinful bliss. The customer service at the byward market location is on point everytime and the food is simply an incredible dream for anyone with a sweet tooth. You can roast your own marshmallows at your table folks!!! A no brainer for any couple and even more fun when in a group setting. Definitely recommend this place check out the before and after pics lol
I mean is a chocolate place ever bad? We ordered it up at this place. We got the fondue for 2 with milk chocolate for one of the chocolates and earl grey. The dish came with fruit, a brownie, and a waffle. Those big pots of chocolate were only filled at the top though but it was still plenty. The chocolates were good and everything was prepared well. Prices were decent. Our friends ordered one of the bigger plates where you could cook your marshmallows over an open flame. Cool enough! The other got the volcano brownie. All the items were the same dish to dish, they were just topped and presented differently. Good dessert place if you’re in the neighbourhood.
Idk if it’s only for delivery but I was so unsatisfied. The crepe looks old, feels like a soggy cardboard, and tastes horrible. Also my order wasn’t complete, they forgot the strawberries. The only redeeming factor was the vanilla ice cream, however the portion they gave us is so little compared to the price of the horrible food.
Quality went down since my last visit before the pandemic. Thanks for anyone working during this hard time, but the staff were terrible at what they doing here
