I wanted to experience my first monthly yarn subscription box. I came across this site when I was researching Canadian companies that offered this service. I was joyed to see that they were very decently priced. On their main page, there is a description box about the monthly yarn club that says it will include the yarn, pattern, and needles or hooks. When you click on that box it takes you further about the monthly club. In there, again, it says that each month the member would receive a yarn, a pattern and now a mystery add-on. I assumed the third item would be a mystery add-on or the needles or hooks, either way I thought I was going to get either or and I would have been happy about it. When I opened the box I received today, I got a wonderful letter by Jann, four winter patterns (it’s spring season now), and rainbow yarn (Cascade Yarns Anthem Rondo). I did not receive the mystery add-on or the needles or hooks as stated in their descriptions. I paid 25 for this. I give two stars because I found the staff to be very caring and friendly, however, what I received in my monthly box was not worth 25! I could have found these patterns online for free and gone out to buy the same yarn or similar for much less. I am not too happy about my purchase and I will not continue with my monthly subscriptions with The Wool Queen.

Very helpful. Good inventory. Reasons le prices.
Wonderful for sock needles online at a very good price. Plus if you live in SW Ontario mail order is pretty quick.
Bought a swift umbrella not too long ago. Chose the pickup option. The piece is beautiful and I can't wait to use it. Staff are friendly and very helpful!
This place is the best. Jann is super willing to go out of her way to satisfy any yarn lover.
