Oshawa's hidden gem for a lot of fun for a very reasonable price. Went with 2 kids (4&9) on a sightseeing flight over Toronto. They were super professional and made sure we were all comfortable and having fun. Our pilot was awesome and the whole experience was fantastic. Can't wait til the fall to go again and see the trees.

Got my instructor rating finished up here in August 2020. Honestly compared to all the flight schools in the GTA, DFC has the most vibrant and welcoming atmosphere with highly professional staff from the desk to the sky. I had the pleasure of flying with 3 of the instructors who were all awesome and personable aviators. I highly recommend getting instructor Josh Dorazio to take you up on a tour of the town!

I got my PPL from this school in 2015 and I would still say this is one of the best flight school in Ontario. The instructors are extremely friendly and professional. They're forcused in helping people achieve their license and offer great advice for those seeking to rent planes. I highly recommend checking the school out!
Durham Flight Centre is a very professional and safe Flight Training Unit. I recently completed my PPL and CPL flight training at this school with nothing but positives to say about its Instructors, Dispatch and Management Teams. Flight training is an expensive and mentally taxing endeavor, but it doesn’t mean the fun factor of flying or aviation should become secondary throughout your training experience and DFC ensures students are happy when they reflect on their training progress. I was lucky to have been assigned DFC’s current CFI Allan Lakas as my instructor who is truly a role model in his position. That being said, all the current instructors have helped me somehow or the other and share the same hard working attitude. DFC has an environment where students can stop and ask questions to any instructor as everyone is willing to help you throughout the training process. I have personally found DFC has a very “we have all been there” kind of attitude and instructors try their best to get you where you need to be as safely, efficiently and inexpensively as possible. DFC’s dispatch team is a fun bunch who are always ready to help with booking, scheduling, fueling etc. Management is very helpful with tax forms, letters of recommendation, LOC forms and any other student needs that may arise, where they can assist. I am continuing my training at DFC to complete Multi and Multi-IFR ratings. As a part-time student I have spent every weekend for the last two years at this flight training unit, while working a full-time job and I would highly recommend this FTU to any new aspiring pilot or pilots considering additional ratings.
