A weird all over the place experience for me and my friends. They clearly have a bug problem on the patio this time of year, and it isn't great for the business. Food was a mixed bag. The meatloaf wasn't great, dry grey meat chunks with no flavour. Masked with an excellent gravy though, that goes much better with the mash than ontop the nearly dog food like meatloaf. The philly cheese is more like a steak pizza sandwich. Its surprisingly delish just not philly cheese. The Sheppard's pie didn't have actual lamb but what you get is quite good. And the fish and chips is the way to go. 2 PC for 15 at lunch is a great value and the fish is quite nice. Very mixed bag experience. Good for drinks tho

Went on a Sunday and was seated at 2:50pm. We got water immediately and then was waiting twenty after three and didn’t even get served or asked about food. Eventually I went in saying it had been 30min and we had been forgotten. They had only 4 tables on the patio being used (including us- was pretty empty) and only one group inside (I know since I had to go in). While I understand that with COVID businesses are trying to get back in track but honestly I think it was mostly our waiter that was the issue. We watched the only other waiter serving and cleaning up. We saw her constantly (I believe her name was chloe). However we only saw our waiter when we were seated and then had to ask if we’d been forgotten. We only ordered the mixed plate of appetizers (3:20pm) The food took 20 min to come, which was not terrible. The food was really good! Overall, I probably wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone who has any sort of plans of doing anything in the evening/afternoon. It’s a shame because the food is good, the terrible waiting service we received spoiled the whole thing. We ended up waiting forever to even get given the bill. I wish we could have tipped only the chef because the food was great, and it wasn’t there fault. I’m used to going to restaurants and it taking long but holy. A pro is that they had live music, another con just for the patio is that there was TONS of bees. They need to spray.
We have had better food at a gas station. We were a group of 8 and none of the dishes were good. The chicken was as dry as vegas. ‘Ribs’ god alone knows what they were. ‘Fries’ were picked from a cadaver. The service was insanely slowly. Would not recommend this place if you were starving. When we complained about the food, the reaction was \u200d️. No acknowledgement or apology.
Food was good, service was good, atmosphere was great. Little pricey but I think it's worth the money, and I would totally recommend eating here.
This was the second time I have eaten there this month. The first time was nachos with unmelted cheese and poor service, but every restaurant has an off night. So I tried it again. Got my first drink after 25 minutes. I ordered a grilled cheese with brie, carmelized onion, tomato and basil. On the menu not a special order. I got a half melted 2 dimensional cheese sandwich with not enough cheese to cover the bread, 5 strips of onion, a cardboard tomato, and the basil was never to be found. This is August, there are fresh tomatoes and basil everywhere. In all fairness, I was never charged for the sandwich and our waitress ended up being great. Left her a decent tip and told her not to share it with the kitchen. Mediocre pub food at best.
