I’ve been taking my family’s skates here since Steve opened. He has a passion for making his customers pleased. Many will discount the importance of a great sharpening. I for one can’t stand how some places finish(or don’t finish is more accurate) the job. From my experience most places run the skates through a quick couple passes on a wheel And they’re done. Steve and his guys(only the best hand selected guys) do a fantastic job with the sharpen. But also finish the job with soft stones and conditioning which takes the “bite” off. The skates are game ready Robyn away, no need for a quick skate to take the bite off or as you’ve likely noticed some people on the ice rubbing their blades on the plastic bench Step to take that “bite” out. For my kids to be honest one is fairly ho-humm about is sharpening, but the other is very particular, he can tell where I have gotten his skates done, or at the very least if he’s unsure he knows one thing, it wasn’t precision blades. So long story short - hands down best around. And Steve really likes Tom Petty and so do I! That’s bonus points

Best spot for skate sharpening, skate profiling and overall skate maintenance advice. Have been sharpening my sons skates with Steve for several years and always appreciate the fast service and skate sharpening consistency. Highly recommend!

Ask about a profile. I have been taking my skates here regularly for two years and the service, craftsmanship and ease of use is excellent. I have only been skating for about 5 years and I am just now starting to get into advanced edge work - I asked if there was anything to help me with this. Steve suggested I try a profile. Originally, I thought profiling was for NHL players and for a shmoe like me it wouldn't make a difference. I was wrong. I also thought a new profile and sharpening would take some time to get used to - wrong again. I felt instantly comfortable on the skates. I tried a few turns. The difference was immense. The confidence and ease of using my outside edges went up tenfold. My turns were sharper by double. Cross overs were no challenge. Backwards skating was as easy as forward and crossing over backwards, something I couldn't do well previously, became easy. And the last thing I will mention is the speed. I am considerably faster somehow. Not sure why, but it's undeniable. If you could improve by 20% at your favourite sport for 40 you would right? It's a no brainer. I couldn't be more grateful. DEFINITE RECOMMEND.

Steve is the best. Our kids don't like their skates to be sharpened or profiled anywhere else as they're always right when they're done at his shop. Great guy, great shop!
