Embarrassing program. Super money hungry program run by TONEY MCNEIL and they don't care about the players. I joined/practiced with other teams like Burlington Force and Burloak Bruins (where I play now). Both great teams with coaches who care. Burloak has FREE zoom workouts for its players during lockdown, whereas Oakville makes their players pay lots of money EXCLUDED from the team costs. TONEY MCNEIL is a joke and didn't care to coach the rep team I tried out for and paid almost 1,600 to play for! TONEY MCNEIL walked out the practices halfway through and left us to practice with kids around 4 years younger. TONEY MCNEIL and Oakville Venom is NOT the place to play basketball!

My son joined OBC couple of years ago. Every time we are interact with Coach Tony and his assistant Alana They are acting very mean and rude and unprofessional. They have no respect towards the parents or the children themselves. We have been experiencing a lot of trouble with them. They are unprofessional and their customer service and satisfaction is down the drain, which is unacceptable. They are not worth the money they are asking for my child to train with them. They promised a lot of the kids to join the rep (which is more competitive) and give them high hopes to join however they turn them down. Irresponsible and illegal actions have been taken by them without consulting the parents and we were not given alternative options. They are unprofessional with not knowing how to handle with customers’ concerns.

Horrible refereeing. They Do not teach team play. Do not balance teams. Need to focus more on teaching game play an calling the actual rules of the game, so the kids know when a foul is and is not. Seems like the coach/refs just don't want to slow down the clock so they don't call fouls unless its really bad. didn't want to leave Oakville but Signed my kid In Burlington for winter program. We had a Way better experience.

The admin is always understanding and listens to parents. Coaches give great advice, treat all the kids like their own. They have organized schedules that are put out well in advance. Each child gets some individualized feedback. Great organization!

My son has been attending Oakville Basketball Club for the past three years. His skill level has improved greatly and with the help of Oakville Basketball Club he made his school basketball team. Tony and the coaches are approachable and take time to listen to my concerns. I have signed my son up for the spring/summer session. I am happy to see the ratio of coaches to players is higher than any other club my son has been involved in.
